Launch of Pritish Nandy’s new collection of poems, Stuck on 1/Forty

Pritish Nandy has returned to poetry after a two-decade hiatus. Once acclaimed as one of the most exciting Indian poets in English, with a following to die for, he suddenly stopped writing poetry one day. None of his thirty-two books of poems, some of them runaway bestsellers, were permitted to be reissued as he walked away from his literary pursuits and began his spectacular career in journalism and public life. Again & Tonight, This Savage Rite, Kolkata

This book launch took writer Pritish Nandy back to his home city, Kolkata after 25 years. The event was hosted at Kolkata’s most famous club, the Tollygunge Club and had in attendance over a 1000 people who came to hear Pritish Nandy read out his own words. Present on stage were Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Javed Akhtar, Prasoon Joshi, Anupam Kher, Farrukh Dhondy and Vidya Balan who also read out some of the poetry from the book.

Tonight, This Savage Rite, Mumbai

A book launch for HarperCollins Publishers India held at Crossword, Mumbai. In attendance were Pritish Nandy, Katrina Kaif, Gulzar, Anupam Kher and Chetan Bhagat. The book was a relaunch of the original written by Kamala Das and Pritish Nandy. Hundreds of poetry lovers came out in support of the book.


A poetry book by Pritish Nandy which was launched at Crossword’s flagship bookstore in Kemps Corner, South Mumbai amidst several poetry fans and book lovers. The special guests for the evening included Gulzar, Aishwarya Rai, Shashi Tharoor, Chetan Bhagat and Anupam Kher. Aishwarya Rai read from the book while the rest spoke on the author and the revival of poetry. A question & answer session was lead by Chetan Bhagat as well.

PNC at Work diary

A notebook chronicling the life and times of PNC was launched by Aditya Thackeray and Gulzar, writer and lyricist, at the PNC at Work exhibition. This book was made available at leading Crossword and Planet M stores in Mumbai.
