After traveling to more than 15 of the world’s most famous film festivals, Pritish Nandy Communication’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, directed by Sudhir Mishra, has now won the Chakra de Oro prize in the official section of the ImagineIndia film festival of Indian cinema in Spain.
Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, starring Kaykay Menon, Shiney Ahuja and Chitrangda Singh, won the Golden Chakra trophy and 10,000 euros.
A select international jury made up of figures including playwright Girish Karnad voted for Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, seeing off strong opposition from Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s Chased by Dreams, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black and Rajarshi Roy’s Iti Srikanta. Mani Ratnam’s Yuva and Partho Sengupta’s Let the Wind Blow were further contenders.
In addition to this, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi has also completed 50 days in theatres with the film still running at theatres like Inox, Fun Republic and Glamour.
